AuctionWorx Customization Services

What drives customization costs

AuctionWorx customization has no fixed menu. Cost follows scope: what you want built, which outside systems it has to talk to, and how much design work is involved. Systenics reviews your requirements on a free discovery call, gives a ballpark, then prepares mockups and specifications so the budget is firm before development begins.

Some things do have a published price. The mobile apps, Excel plug-in, AI descriptions, barcode listing creation and community feed are one-time purchases with deployment included. See the Systenics AuctionWorx pricing page for current numbers.

Custom features and themes

Systenics offers UI/UX customization for AuctionWorx: tailored brand identity, responsive layouts, and modern themes. Other modules it has built include restricted-access listings for gated dealer tiers, a similar-listings engine, homepage ads and listings, custom carousels, auto-complete search, and a progressive web app.

Domain-specific work is common too. Car auctions get VIN decoding and vehicle history lookups (ChromeData and CarProof). Livestock sales get lineage tracking. Estate sales get appraisal and pickup scheduling. Each has its own page on Systenics’ site:

Bidding models

Standard English auctions don’t fit every business. Systenics builds Dutch (descending price) auctions, make-an-offer with counter-offers, and sealed-bid submissions. Dutch auctions are also sold as a ready-made add-on: see the Dutch auctions page and the Volume Buy page for tiered bulk pricing.

Integrations

Custom work often means connecting AuctionWorx to other systems: CRMs such as HubSpot and Salesforce, invoicing, payment gateways, escrow, SMS through Twilio or Nexmo, and shipment tracking with FedEx, UPS and USPS. The integrations page has the details.

Staying upgrade-safe

The most expensive mistake is welding custom logic into core platform files. When RainWorx ships an update, a site with core edits can’t be upgraded without days or weeks of manual file diffing.

Systenics keeps custom business logic in separate class library assemblies, hooks into AuctionWorx lifecycle events with event handlers, and does UI work through override views, partials, and dedicated CSS bundles. Core templates stay untouched. Two Systenics articles go deeper:

The process

Systenics works in four steps.

  1. Discovery and ballpark. A free call to review your requirements and give an initial estimate.
  2. Detailed architecture and mockups. User journeys and database schemas are mapped so you see the plan before code is written.
  3. Milestone-based build. Development happens iteratively, with regular demos.
  4. Deployment and support. Rollout to your AuctionWorx installation, and support for your customization through future AuctionWorx updates.

To talk it through, see the Systenics development and customization page and get in touch.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on scope. Systenics starts with a free discovery call and a ballpark estimate, then prepares UI/UX mockups and detailed specifications to firm up the budget before development starts. Published one-time prices for add-ons are on the Systenics AuctionWorx pricing page.

They shouldn't if they're built the right way. Systenics keeps custom logic in separate assemblies, event handlers, and theme overrides instead of editing core files, which is what keeps upgrades manageable.

Yes. Systenics offers UI/UX customization on top of an existing AuctionWorx install: tailored branding, responsive layouts, and modern themes.

Yes. Systenics has built custom financial, seller settlement, and tax reports, plus invoice, manifest, and settlement exports.

That's a large part of the work. Systenics has built Dutch auctions, sealed-bid submissions, and make-an-offer workflows, along with domain features for cars, property, livestock, estate sales, antiques, and e-commerce returns.

It depends on scope. Systenics builds in milestones with regular demos, and gives a timeline once requirements are clear. A call is the fastest way to get a real answer.
